Our Story
Hi, this is Amit.
Welcome!
For more than 30 years, I have been getting up every morning to do what I love most: good coffee, good food, music and culture – and most of all, meeting people. Nocturno – a life’s work – has been known for many years as a Jerusalem “institution” that provides a unique culinary-cultural experience in the center of Jerusalem. The complex is located in the Bezalel pedestrian mall in Jerusalem’s magical Nachlaot neighborhood, and we are surrounded by cultural centers such as Beit Ha’am, the Bezalel Academy of Art, Beit Schatz, the Artists’ House, Beit Mazia, the Knesset Museum – and a five-minute walk from the Mahane Yehuda Market.
At Nocturno you can meet young and veteran Jerusalemites, secular and religious, couples on a date, families, mothers on maternity leave, students and lecturers of Bezalel and the various arts schools in the city, writers and journalists, residents of the neighborhood and the city center, businessmen, and tourists from abroad and from all over the country. We want everyone to feel at home.
Nocturno is a family business, and it’s really my home. It has three floors, and each floor has its own character. On all floors there are temporary exhibitions of professional painters and photographers.
Entrance Floor – Nocturno CAFÉ
Nocturno boasts an open kitchen – dairy, vegetarian and vegan kosher – where everything is prepared on the spot from fresh products that arrive every morning right from the market. The menu is rich and varied, so that everyone, including vegans, will be able to find a favorite dish of uncompromising quality.
At night, downstairs becomes a vibrant and contemporary music and culture center. Every evening, the best musicians and creators from all genres take to the stage. We hold music evenings, literature evenings, lectures at the bar, poetry slams, stand-up comedy and parties. We also hold private events (family celebrations, birthdays, etc.) as well as conferences and events for the business sector.
It’s important to me that Nocturno LIVE will be a home for Jerusalem musicians, where they will have fun, write their next piece and perform. Many musicians started their careers with us and went on to successful musical careers. Our shows are diverse, high-quality, and aimed at broad audiences. In order to preserve our achievements and continue to move forward, we founded the “Spectrum – Home for Culture and Art in Jerusalem” association, which is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Jerusalem Municipality and other bodies. All cultural events take place under the umbrella of the association.

On the floor are designer studios and a large store with unique items from the best Israeli designers: clothes, jewelry, bags, accessories, home décor – at a variety of prices, and everything is vegan.
Nocturno is the fulfillment of my vision: to connect culinary, music, design and people. A place where you can spend time from morning to night.
